Report on 2023 AGM & Speaker
The AGM for the financial year 2022, of the Geelong Regional Engineers Group, was held on the 23rd March 2023, at The Learning Professionals premises in Corio Street, Geelong. 23 members & guests attended the AGM.

During Bernard’s Presidents address he emphasised that it was each member’s responsibility to encourage others to become members of GREG.
At the conclusion of his address Bernard said that he intended to step down as president at the end of 2003 and that the treasurer Dennis would be doing the same. A big thanks must go to Bernard and the rest of the committee for their dedication throughout the year, as well as a big thank you to those retiring committee members, Frank, & Jack. Well done to all. We also welcome our new committee member Eleanor Smith and thank here for joining the committee.

Following the AGM, members were treated to a presentation by Deakin University Professor Mahmud Ashraf, on Research advancements on traditional and engineered materials for structural applications.
The materials covered included stainless steel, timber and applications in 3D modelling, the Professor Ashraf’s presentation can be viewed here. After the presentation had completed, dinner was served.
