Membership
As already alerted in our end of year meeting at the Cockie brewery event last year, there will be a small annual subscription fee for membership. This fee is required to cover the cost of incorporation, domain registration, website and other miscellaneous expenses associated with running of the group. However, full time students, membership will be free as we endeavour to foster the next generation of engineers into our profession. All committee positions are voluntary.
Benefits of membership will be:
- For events where there is a charge, members and one member’s partner will be at a discounted rate compared to non-members. Where events have a charge, full time student members will incur a small charge.
- CPD events of interest.
- Communicate information and updates on current issues and statutory policies affecting engineers and the engineering profession.
- Provide a collective platform by which our engineer members can be represented and consulted at community and policy making level from local through to national government.
- Networking and sharing of ideas.
- Mentoring of engineering undergraduates with sharing and fusion of ideas and experience among all its members.
Membership Fees:
- Engineer – $20 per annum
- Associate – $20 per annum
- Full Time Student – free, but must prove valid student status each year.
- Part Time Student – classed as an Associate, but may apply to the committee for a reduction.
