Engineering at Deakin
The school of Engineering at Deakin University celebrated its 30 year anniversary in 2021. Engineering at Deakin has had a very successful history that has played a important part of a large amount of Deakin University’s research and commercialisation activity. This includes being the birthplace of the Carbon Fibre wheel that then led to Carbon Revolution an ASX listed company that produces the carbon fibre wheel on the Waurn Ponds campus. The School of Engineering provides undergraduate, postgraduate and higher-degree by research course across a range of different areas. The School embraces innovative Project-Oriented Design Based Learning (PODBL) where students are exposed to a wider range of opportunities for soft skill development with the view to produce more well rounded Engineering applicants.
